Abstract
A simple method is described for fitting a rectangular hyperbola to fo rce-velocity data derived from active muscle. The approach is based on three-dimensional regression analysis of the variables force, velocit y and (force x velocity). The usage of the method is illustrated by pr actical applications. A pocket calculator is sufficient for the mathem atical treatment.
