This paper describes the principles of the holographic recording and r
econstruction of short light pulses, based on spatial spectral decompo
sition of the radiation. A system of methods is proposed for processin
g temporal signals, based on spectral holography. These methods includ
e the formation of optical pulses, space-time signal transformations,
and matched filtering and recognition of temporal optical signals. Mor
eover, multiplexing of data streams with time separation based on dyna
mic spectral holography is shown to be possible.
