CRYOOPTICAL SYSTEMS

This paper discusses questions of building cryooptical systems and opt oelectronic devices based on them, intended for scientific investigati ons in space. The achievable level of the basic parameters of a cryoob jective with a light-protection system, photodetector, and on-board cr yogenic system for orbital deployment is considered briefly, with tech nological restrictions taken into account. The parameters obtained as a result of a preliminary fine tuning and the design of an IR telescop e with an entrance-pupil diameter of 150 mm that can be cooled to a lo w temperature are described.
