Abstract
On two occasions, adult male Brown Bears (Ursus arctos) were observed to kill dependent young at Brooks River in Katmai National Park, Alask a. In July 1988 a yearling bear was killed at Brooks Falls, and in Jul y 1989 a spring cub was killed there.
