ON THE COPULATORY COMPLEX OF SOME INDIAN BELOSTOMATIDAE (HEMIPTERA, HETEROPTERA)

The paper deals with the study of copulatory complex in three species of familly Belostomatidae viz. Spheroderma rusticum Fabr.. Lithocercus grandis Fabr., and Belostoma indicucm Lep. et Serv., which have been collected from the various parts of Agra and its environs. The abdomen provides number of valuable characters specially the copulatory compl ex for the classification of family as well as its phenetic affinity. Characters of conjuctival appendages, vesica. phallobase. parameres se em to be more use in the identification of groups.
