J. Gorecki et I. Hanazaki, A SIMPLE PHENOMENOLOGICAL MODEL FOR NONEQUILIBRIUM INTERACTION BETWEEN 2 REACTIONS IN A LORENTZ GAS, Chemical physics, 181(1-2), 1994, pp. 39-46
A simple phenomenological method, which assumes that different reagent
s in a chemical system may be characterized by different temperatures,
is applied to calculate the nonequilibrium effects in a system with t
wo competing reactions. The results are compared with molecular dynami
cs simulations of a model thermally activated reaction and good agreem
ent between both methods is observed. The limiting case of a large mas
s ratio between different reactants (Lorentz gas) is discussed.
