Abstract
A case of calcific tendinitis of the gluteus maximus tendon with corti cal erosion is presented. Roentgenography demonstrated calcification o n the posterior surface of the proximal femur. Computed tomography sho wed flame-like appearance of calcific tendinitis and bone erosion. Mag netic resonance imaging showed minimal inflammatory reaction around th e lesion.
