Abstract
This paper uses data gathered at a number of heritage sites in Wales t o consider meso-scale (that is, regional and subregional) variations i n demand for heritage tourism. In particular it is possible to identif y distinct regional markets within Wales for some aspects of demand. T he implications of these meso-scale variations in demand for product d evelopment (especially heritage interpretation) and marketing strategi es are examined.
