Abstract
The synthesis, charaterisation and properties of simple low molecular weight aromatic amide dendrimers is described. The insights into the p roblems inherent in the synthesis of such systems provided by molecula r modelling studies are discussed along with possible strategies for c ircumventing them. Preliminary results concerning blends of aramid den drimers with poly(hexamethyleneadipamide) are presented.
