Abstract
Different procedures for preparing columnar stacks and layered structu res from phthalocyanine molecules are presented and discussed, includi ng organization of the molecules by one of the following means: (i) wi th the help of liquid crystallinity, (ii) by using crown ether rings a ttached to the phthalocyanine core, (iii) by polymerization, and (iv) by Langmuir-Blodgett film formation.
