Abstract
A conformational change in Escherichia coli RNA polymerase induced by NusA was detected by utilizing photocrosslinking. A change in the bind ing site for the 3' end of the RNA occurred, and NusA increased intera ctions of the RNA with the beta subunit of the polymerase. NusA was no t contacted by the 3' end of the RNA.
