L. Trentadue et G. Veneziano, FRACTURE FUNCTIONS - AN IMPROVED DESCRIPTION OF INCLUSIVE HARD PROCESSES IN QCD, Physics letters. Section B, 323(2), 1994, pp. 201-211
We propose to describe semi-inclusive hard processes in perturbative Q
CD by means of ''fracture'' functions, hybrids between structure and f
ragmentation functions. We argue that fracture functions factorize cor
rectly and evolve in Q2 in a predictable way. As an application, we di
scuss how information on fracture functions obtained at HERA can be us
ed to compute inclusive processes at future hadron colliders.
