Using the CLEO II detector at CESR we observe 500 LAMBDAl+ pairs consi
stent with the semileptonic decay LAMBDA(c)+ --> LAMBDAl+ nu(l). We me
asure sigma (e+e- --> LAMBDA(c)+ X) . B (LAMBDA(c)+ --> LAMBDAl+nu(l))
= 4.77 +/- 0.25 +/- 0.66 pb. Combining with the charm semileptonic wi
dth and the lifetime of the LAMBDA(c) we also obtain B (LAMBDA(c)+ -->
pK- pi+). We find no evidence for LAMBDAl + nu(l) final states in whi
ch there are additional LAMBDA(c)+ decay products. We measure the deca
y asymmetry parameter of LAMBDA(c)+ --> LAMBDAe+nu(e) to be alpha(LAMB
DAc) = -0.89(+0.17/-0.11) +0.09/-0.05.
