VIBRATIONAL SPECTRAL STRUCTURAL-CHANGES FROM THE HYDROLYSIS POLYCONDENSATION OF METHYL-MODIFIED SILICATES .4. IR SPECTRAL COMPARISONS FROM THE TETRAMETHOXYSILANE METHYLTRIMETHOXYSILANE DIETHOXYDIMETHYLSILANE SYSTEM
Ca. Capozzi et al., VIBRATIONAL SPECTRAL STRUCTURAL-CHANGES FROM THE HYDROLYSIS POLYCONDENSATION OF METHYL-MODIFIED SILICATES .4. IR SPECTRAL COMPARISONS FROM THE TETRAMETHOXYSILANE METHYLTRIMETHOXYSILANE DIETHOXYDIMETHYLSILANE SYSTEM, Materials letters, 18(5-6), 1994, pp. 349-352
Comparisons were made for the structures of condensates from the terna
ry tetramethoxysilane (TMOS) /methyltrimethoxysilane (MTMS) /diethoxyd
imethylsilane (DEDMS) system and the binary MTMS/DEDMS system upon hyd
rolysis/polycondensation using infrared spectra. Spectral data indicat
ed that all generated condensates possessed four-membered (Si-O)4 ring
s as structural units within their structures.
