Ge. Brown et J. Wambach, MODEL FOR THE QUASI-FREE POLARIZATION-TRANSFER MEASUREMENTS IN THE (PP)OVER-RIGHT-ARROW, (N)OVER-RIGHT-ARROW) REACTION AT 495 MEV, Nuclear physics. A, 568(4), 1994, pp. 895-905
The recent (p over arrow pointing right, n over arrow pointing right)
polarization transfer experiments show the ratio of spin-longitudinal
to spin-transverse response functions R(L)/R(T), measured at a three-m
omentum transfer of 1.72 fm-1 in C-12 and Ca-40, to be essentially uni
ty for small projectile-energy loss. This can be explained theoretical
ly if the nucleon-nucleon tensor interaction is zero at this momentum
transfer. We can partially achieve this by introducing a density-depen
dent p-meson mass m(rho).
