Abstract
[{Cp(CO)(2)Fe}2SnCl2] reacts with AgBF4 to form [{Cp(Co)(2)Fe}Sn-2(F)F BF3] 1.1 crystallizes in two monoclinic modifications with a = 1018.2( 4), b = 1321.1(5), c = 1364.8(5) pm, beta = 104.96(4)degrees (la), and a = 983.1(2), b = 1760.2(6), c = 1060.4(3) pm, beta = 104.28(2)degree s (1b). 1a and 1b contain a nearly tetrahedrally coordinated tin atom which is bonded to two {Cp(CO)(2)Fe} fragments, a F atom and a BF4 gro up.
