P. Kundargi et al., KNOTTED UPPER END - A NEW COMPLICATION IN THE USE OF AN INDWELLING URETERAL STENT, The Journal of urology, 151(4), 1994, pp. 995-996
Use of the indwelling ureteral stent is a key factor in the management
of stone disease by extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy. We report
on a knotted stent in a patient with a solitary kidney, which had to b
e removed percutaneously. This case demonstrates that the ureteral ste
nt is not free of serious complications.
