Abstract
The absolute configuration of N-methoxyseptorinol 3, a substance isola ted from the fungus Septoria (Phaeosphaeria) nodorum has been determin ed. The secondary OH group is (-)-(R) according to Horeau's method. (T he second asymmetric centre due to the isoleucyl residue was previousl y determined to be (+)-(S) through a correlation with (+)-septorine.)
