Abstract
Two new triterpenoid saponins, loniceroside A and B, were isolated fro m the aerial parts of Lonicera japonica. Their structures were establi shed as 3-O-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl hederagenin 28-O-alpha-L-rhamnopy ranosyl beta-D-xylopyranosyl(1-->6)]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl ester and - L-rhamnopyranosyl(1-->2)-alpha-L-arabinopyranosyl hederagenin l(1-->2) -[beta-D-xylopyranosyl(1-->6)]-beta-D-gluc opyranosyl ester, respectiv ely.
