Abstract
This paper refers to morphological and physiological studies on Salsol a kali L. leaves of various age; 13C/12C ratio was measured and anatom ical and ultrastructural aspects related to their C4 photosynthesis we re analyzed by means of light and electron microscopy. Interesting res ults have been attained regarding chloro-plasts, plasmodesmata and ves icles proliferation, probably connected with the C4 metabolism.
