Abstract
Two specimens of A. lycioides were analysed in relation to meiotic beh avior, pollen fertility and seed viability. The results showed many un ivalents and multiple associations among chromosomes in diakinesis sug gesting occurrence of polyploidy. Other abnormalities related to chrom osome segregation and multiple and multipolar spindles in meiose II we re observed. Pollen sterility was high and few seeds were viable sugge sting the abnormalities affected the plant fertility.
