H. Takayasu et al., UNIVERSALITY CLASS FOR EXTINCTION-SURVIVAL PHASE-TRANSITION IN ONE-DIMENSION, Physical review. E, Statistical physics, plasmas, fluids, and related interdisciplinary topics, 49(2), 1994, pp. 1070-1072
In one-dimension irreversibly interacting-particle systems exhibiting
extinction-survival phase transitions, such as the contact process and
branching annihilation random walk, are analyzed using a space-time r
enormalization-group method. Strong positive evidence is shown for the
conjecture that all ''reasonably'' defined interacting-particle syste
ms with nearest-neighbor interactions belong to the same universality
class of directed percolation.
