Abstract
The distant propagation of signals from a powerful hydroacoustic sourc e operating in the parametric mode was studied experimentally. Signals in the 230 - 700 Hz band at distances up to 1000 km were used. An enh ancement of the acoustic field was observed when the source was near a seamount. Comparison experiments with a monopole source resulted in a n estimation of the frequency response of the parametric source.
