Jl. Vilchez et al., DETERMINATION OF BOLDINE IN DRUG FORMULATIONS BY 1ST-DERIVATIVE SYNCHRONOUS SPECTROFLUOROMETRY, Journal of pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis, 12(3), 1994, pp. 313-317
A simple and sensitive method is proposed for the determination of bol
dine by first-derivative synchronous spectrofluorimetry based on its n
ative fluorescence in 0.1 N sulphuric acid. The constant wavelength di
fference (DELTAlambda = lambda(cm) - lambda(ex)) chosen to optimize th
e determination is 90 nm. The linear concentration range of applicatio
n is between 2.0 and 50.0 mug l-1 of boldine, the detection limit 0.4
mug l-1 and the relative standard deviation at a concentration of 25 m
ug l-1 was 2.1%. The method has been satisfactorily applied to the det
ermination of boldine in pharmaceutical formulations.
