In North Africa agriculture, mining and oil are the main resources. Ch
emical pollution due to the transformation of phosphate rocks, pestici
de use, mining etc., is rampant. Regulations are long overdue. Some fi
ndings on this contamination in matrices such as water, foods, and mot
hers' milk are reported. It is only too clear that North Africa needs
more chemical analysts to investigate this pollution so that it can be
alleviated.
