Abstract
A case of hypergammaglobulinaemia D and periodic fever syndrome, devel oping an amyloidosis-related nephrotic syndrome, is reported. Since su ch a complication represents a typical feature of another disease char acterized by recurrent febrile attacks, i.e., familial Mediterranean f ever, an overlap syndrome between these two rare clinical disorders ca n be suggested.
