This paper presents a 2D neural network with application to solving a
class of matrix equations. We show both analytically and by simulation
s that this neural network is guaranteed to be stable and to provide r
esults arbitrarily close to the accurate solutions of the matrix equat
ions within an elapsed time of only a few characteristic time constant
s of the network. Parameters such as the interconnection strengths and
bias currents of this proposed network can be obtained from the known
matrices of the matrix equations without any computations.
