It is introduced a new method of chrome recovery in tanning waste wate
rs, for the ulterior chrome and waters recycling in the same tanning.
This method considers and oxidation of the existing chrome to chrome (
VI), the fixation of chrome (VI) in ionic exchange columns and chrome
(111) recovery after a reduction in the same column. The method is sel
ective with regard to chrome recuperation because although many ions c
an fix to resin, only chrome can be recovered in a cationic form after
an <<in situ>> reduction.
