Abstract
The authors report a caw of horse food-poisoning by roots of Phytolacc a decandra L. accidentally mixed with carrots. Four horses were poison ed and two died within 12 to 24 hours after feeding. To our knowledge, this is the first description of horse poisoning with Phytolacca root s. The microscopic examination of the food allowed the diagnostic.
