Abstract
In contrast to real-time data acquisition systems employing a minicomp uter with a real-time multiprogramming operating system, this paper de scribes the design and development of a high throughput data acquisiti on system using an IBM compatible PC/AT, high speed sampling A/D conve rter, and dual ported FIFO RAM buffers, in the MS-DOS environment. Dat a acquisition software is developed in Turbo Pascal with a few in-line machine language procedures.
