Abstract
Sodium orobenzenesulfonylamino)-butyl]azulene-1-sulfonate (KT2-962) 1,
which has been found to be a potent and selective thromboxaneA2 recep
tor antagonist, was synthesized in C-14-labelled form by using potassi
um [C-14]-cyanide. C-14-labelled 1 with a specific activity of 2.36 GB
q/mmol was prepared with no-carrier-added and in nine steps in 64% ove
rall radiochemical yield.
