Abstract
The selective tritiation of methyl )-hydroxy-11(R),12(S)-epoxyeicosa-5 ,8,14-triynoate into two C-10-epimeric [H-3(6)]-hepoxilins B3 methyl e sters is described. These compounds are subsequently converted into tw o C-8-epimeric [H-3(6)]-hepoxilins A3 methyl esters by allylic rearran gement under Mitsunobu conditions via corresponding benzoates.
