Abstract
[methyl-C-14]-Bromocresol green 1 was synthesized from [C-14] - methyl
iodide in four steps via 3-[methyl-C-14]-methylanisole 3, [methyl-C-1
4]-metacresol 4 and [methyl-C-14]-metacresol purple 6. The overall yie
ld of 1 from [C-14] methyl iodide was 5.3 % and the specific activity
112 mCi/mmol.
