Abstract
Four new bryophilous species of the genus Nectria (Hypocreales, Ascomy cetes) from Costa Rica, are described, discussed and illustrated: Nect ria brenesii Dobb. & Carr., N. lankesteri Dobb. & Carr., N. perianthic ola Dobb. & Carr., and turrialbae N. Dobb. & Carr. All grow as parasit es on epiphilous hepatics which seem to be a rich but nearly unknown s ubstrate for nectrioid fungi.
