MODIFICATION OF A GS-5 GONIOMETER

A new modification of the GS-5 goniometer contains two optical-element holders instead of the collimator and telescope, the holders will tak e diaphragms, lenses, polarizers, and dividing cubes and a gas laser, optical chopper, and protractor head can be accommodated. Thus, optica l schemes to measure the refraction indices of small lenses and small quantities (one-two drops) of very refractive liquids, and the curvatu re radii and roughnesses of polished plates can be assembled around th e goniometer.
