Abstract
The synthesis of 19 new N-substituted derivatives of (E)-alpha and gam ma-azastilbenols-2'(3' and 4') and their antimicrobial activity are re ported. In particular, compounds 4a-4f and 6a showed good antibacteria l activity against Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis, Baci llus subtilis and Escherichia coli.
