K. Inamura et al., DETECTION OF ANTINEUTROPHIL CYTOPLASMIC ANTIBODIES (ANCA) USING THE IMMUNOPEROXIDASE METHOD, Acta oto-laryngologica, 1994, pp. 218-220
Anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies (ANCA), which are present in We
gener's granulomatosis (WG) and other systemic vasculitis, were detect
ed using the immunoperoxidase method rather than the indirect immunofl
uorescence method. It was possible to distinguish ANCA patterns (c-ANC
A, p-ANCA) by the immunoperoxidase method. When neutropil smears were
treated with 0.4% hydrogen peroxide solution, the endogenous peroxidas
e activity was sufficiently inhibited. ANCA was also detected, using H
L-60 cells (human promyelocytic leukemia) and THP-1 cells (human myelo
cytic leukemia) as substrates.
