Abstract
Two designs incorporating embedded fiber Fabry-Perot interferometers a s strain gauges were used for monitoring gas pressure in internal comb ustion engines. Measurements on a Diesel engine, a gasoline-fueled eng ine, and a natural-gas engine are reported.
