Of. Shlenskii et Dn. Yundev, THE EFFECT OF A REDUCED NUCLEATION RATE IN THIN LIQUID-FILMS AND ITS APPLICATION TO STUDIES OF THE PROPERTIES OF SUPERHEATED SUBSTANCES, High temperature, 32(1), 1994, pp. 135-137
The thicknesses at which a reduction occurs in the rate of gas-phase b
ubble formation and growth have been experimentally determined for fil
ms deposited on a substrate heated to a high temperature. It is propos
ed to use this effect in order to determine the attainable superheats
and limiting temperature of thermal decomposition for substances in a
condensed state.
