Abstract
(S)-Matsutake alcohol is synthesized by enzymatic hydrolysis in 92% op tical purity using bovine liver acetone powder (BLAP). The principle o f substrate specificity approach is applied to the synthesis of C-8 al lyl alcohols in 46-93% enantiomeric purities using BLAP.
