Abstract
The study of reactions between [Ir(CO)Cl(PPh(3))(2)] and Na[Ru3H(CO)(1 1)] in different solvents yields a rich source of new mixed-metal Ru-I r clusters. New ruthenium-iridium mixed-metal clusters [Ru3IrH3(CO)(11 )(PPh(3))] (two isomers), [Ru3IrH(CO)(12)(PPh(3))], and [Ru4-xIrxH4-x( CO)(10)(PPh(3))(2)] (x = 1 and 2) were synthesized and characterized b y H-1 and P-31 NMR and infrared spectroscopy and by single-crystal X-r ay structure determination.
