Sv. Shalayev et Ia. Mezhetskaya, TICLOPIDINE AND ASPIRIN IN UNSTABLE ANGIN A - COMPARISON OF DISAGGREGATORY PROPERTIES AND EFFECTS ON PLATELET MEMBRANES, Kardiologia, 33(5), 1993, pp. 9-12
The study was undertaken to examine changes in ADP-induced aggregation
of platelets, blood-circulating platelet aggregates, platelet phospho
lipids and cholesterol in patients with unstable angina depending on t
he therapy with disaggregatory agents. The patients from Group 1 (n=23
) received ticlopidine, 500 mg/day, in addition to antianginal therapy
and heparin; those from Group 2 (n=21) had aspirin, 320 mg/day, those
from Group 3 (n=36) took no disaggregahts. Ticlopidine was found to p
roduce more marked effects on ADT-induced plasma platelet aggregation,
in vivo reversible platelet aggregation, and reduced platelet levels
of free cholesterol, as compared to aspirin.
