Abstract
The mechanism of the epoxy resin curing with dicyandiamide was studied using the model phenyl glycidyl ether. Some reaction products were is olated by HPLC and characterized by FTIR and Carbon-13 NMR spectroscop y. Examples are given to illustrate the presence of linear and cyclic structures with or without nitrile functions in the complex reaction m ixture.
