Abstract
The miscibility of anthracene-labelled polystyrene (PS) in blends with carbazole-labelled poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) was examined by t he nonradiative energy transfer (NET) technique. It was found that the miscibility is relatively insensitive to the PMMA component molecular weight which has the range from 4.70x10(5) to 2.36x10(6). However, th e miscibility is sensitive to the PS component molecular weight which has the range from 8.22x10(4) to 4.68x10(5). The observation from tran smission electron microscopy is consistent with the results obtained f rom NET.
