Abstract
The basis for selection of a set of normalized metrological characteri stics of rate gyros as devices for measuring angular velocities is dis cussed the rate gyro is examined as an angular velocity measuring devi ce. Recommendations are made in accordance with GOST 8.009-84 on selec tion of metrological characteristics normalized during development of the instrument.
