Abstract
Statement of problem. The use of implants for orthodontic anchorage ca n produce superior preprosthetic tooth positions. Their use often requ ires a crown or prosthesis to be fabricated for use as a connection be tween the orthodontic devices and the implant. Purpose. In this articl e, factors that affect the design of prostheses required for orthodont ic movement and examples of prosthesis designs and materials, based on the authors' experience, are presented.
