Abstract
Various in vitro techniques are available for plant propagation, inclu ding seed germination, micropropagation, meristem culture and callus c ulture. The role of these techniques in the conservation of endangered plants is discussed, using examples drawn from the work of the Microp ropagation Unit at Kew.
