Abstract
The paper deals with both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the occurrence of hoverflies in the area of the Danube (Gabeikovo - Nagyma ros) waterworks construction site in the years 1984 - 1985. Closer att ention is devoted to aphidophagous species. An extended number of loca lities was documented for the species Pipiza lugubris (FABRICIUS, 1775 ) and Paragus quadrifasciatus (MEIGEN, 1812).
