Abstract
The interaction of ,5-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxy-N,N-dimethylbenzylamine with various acyl halides has been studied. The N-acyl quaternary ammo nium salts obtained can be used to introduce a sterically hindered phe nol fragment into organic compounds containing an active methylene gro up.
