The ruthenium carbonyl derivatives of lutecium (THF)Cp2LuRu(CO)2Cp (1)
, THF)[1,3-(Me3Si)2C5H3]2 LuRu(CO)2Cp, and (C5Me5)2LuRu(CO)2Cp were p
repared by treating Na[CpRu(CO)2] with lutecium halides in THF. An X-r
ay structural investigation of 1 was performed (Mo K(alpha) radiation,
1828 reflections, R = 0.037). The crystals are monoclinic, a = 14.083
(2) angstrom, b = 8.347(2) angstrom, c = 17.331(2) angstrom, beta = 10
6.98-degrees, Z = 4, space group P2(1)/n. The Lu-Ru distance is equal
to 2.955(2) angstrom.
